and let freedom ring
song that all can sing
oh how long not long
must we sing this song
for its not too late
save the human race
silent the violence
the violent silence
they lied and they lied
an eye for an eye
makes the world go blind
gandhi said in time
this is reality
is this destiny
end the senseless war
cents to feed the poor
and from harlem nights
shines a nation's plight
to fight the good fight
elusive civil rights
My first attempt at blogging! I chose to blog about something that I am passionate about. I love spending time in the kitchen and being around food always puts me in a better mood.

In Hoc Carmen Spes Mea (In this Poem is my Hope)
we have money for war
but we can't feed the poor?
came from mister shakur
deus misereatur (may God have mercy)
this day we pray to say
vox populi vox dei (the voice of the people is the voice of God)
in empty beds we lay
today and everyday
silent by the violence
comes the violent silence
that man hath done penance
quoth he, coleridge; hence
reason it should not last
from belgrade to belfast
kabul, sarajevo
and other places we dont know
for we will not forget
those we have not yet met
why do they fight to die
and leave their youngs to cry?
for what? a home, a land
family with no man?
to be used and abused
a so-called life refused
to serve and to have trust
in state is a must
for it is all they know
to never reap what they sew
they are pawns, they are lambs
dying breed in demand
the old state needs to wake
before it is too late
use the money for good
for medicine and food
infirnmas curate (heal the sick)
mortuos suscitate (raise the dead)
leprosos mundate (cleanse the lepers)
daemones ejicite (cast out devils)
gratis accepistis (freely you have received)
gratis date (freely give)
the time to act is now
inside we all know how.

Unborn
The consumption of thy own soul,
a harbinger of self-sorrow
cast off that face of night
one step, two to the light
springin' forth from this fertile ground
can her deadly disease be found
she smiled a bed of red
then i knew i was dead
a harbinger of self-sorrow
cast off that face of night
one step, two to the light
springin' forth from this fertile ground
can her deadly disease be found
she smiled a bed of red
then i knew i was dead
Just Pancake (Mix)
when the power goes out
u quietly just wait
when the hours go by
u know you cant just take
when you are in idle
u really do just hate
when the power comes on
u rejoice - just elate
when you open the fridge
u know it is just late
when all that has survived
u see is just pancake
u quietly just wait
when the hours go by
u know you cant just take
when you are in idle
u really do just hate
when the power comes on
u rejoice - just elate
when you open the fridge
u know it is just late
when all that has survived
u see is just pancake
The Drain
stood under the showers
beer in my hand
contemplatin' my life
without a plan
feelin' the water drip
down from my face
and tricklin' for the drain
to another place
beer in my hand
contemplatin' my life
without a plan
feelin' the water drip
down from my face
and tricklin' for the drain
to another place
There was
there was a time when i believed
in the spirit of love
there was a time when i believed
in something high above
there was a place where i went
to find my sanity
there was a place where i went
to find humanity
there was a time when you deceived
and broke my lonely heart
there was a time when you deceived
and misled me from start
there was a place where you went
and tore me all apart
there was a place where you went
and left me in the dark
in the spirit of love
there was a time when i believed
in something high above
there was a place where i went
to find my sanity
there was a place where i went
to find humanity
there was a time when you deceived
and broke my lonely heart
there was a time when you deceived
and misled me from start
there was a place where you went
and tore me all apart
there was a place where you went
and left me in the dark
